Lisabona Rahman started her work in film as a reviewer for The Sunday Jakarta Post in 2005. Then she managed the first programmed cinema in Indonesia, kineforum, the Jakarta Arts Council from 2006-2011. Parallel to activities in cinemas, she joined the online catalog filmindonesia.or.id with critic JB Kristanto to document the development of the Indonesian film industry. Lisabona then took a special education in the field of film preservation and curatorial activities in the Netherlands. After completing her studies, she worked as a film restoration technician. Currently she freelances on various restoration or maintenance projects for celluloid medium, while creating several film screening programs.
