Alicia Izharuddin is affiliated with the Women’s Studies in Religion Program at Harvard Divinity School and was previously Senior Lecturer in Gender Studies at the University of Malaya. She is interested in gender and Islam in Southeast Asia and has many publications on the topic. “Gender and Islam in Indonesian Cinema” is her first book.
